Pioneer Bungalow

Cute little bungalow attached to the main rental spot (we did not rent both). Loved that it was walkable to town and close to the ski areas. Definitely a small space, but perfect for 2 people and a small dog!

Two of us stayed in the bungalow with two dogs and three stayed in the larger cabin with one dog, and it was perfect. Clean, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, and it was so quiet and peaceful.

We really enjoyed our stay! My boyfriend and I came up to Tahoe for the weekend for our dogs birthday. It was the perfect size for us, clean, warm comfy bed, and host left a little something extra to celebrate our dogs bday! It was a very thoughtful touch that we appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

First of all, the property managers communicated with me leading up to our first day. When I arrived at this bungalow, I was thrilled! It was very quaint, completely updated and immaculate. The location was perfect: a walk to downtown and the water, but far enough away from any noisy areas. This place had everything we needed from all cooking utensils, stove with oven, larger fridge, toaster, blender, coffee maker, everything. The property managers were available via text if needed during our stay. They truly made us feel at home. I never stayed at any place that had customer service like this. Check out was a breeze. This was a vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday, and it couldn't have turned out better. Thank you Claire, we cannot wait to return!

Great spot for my me, my wife, and our dogs. Short walk downhill to the restaurants and shops in Tahoe City with easy access to everything in a quiet neighborhood. Would love to stay again!

We had a great time, easy access to mountain bike trails, we never had to get in the car to ride our bikes!

Super cute cabin in incredibly convenient location. Can walk to the lake and lots of restaurants AND the local dog park was just a five minute walk away. My dog was in heaven!

Great walkable place to stay in Tahoe City. It is attached to a bigger house rental so you will share a wall and parking with other guests but wasn't a nuisance.

Great location! Close to Commons Beach (lake access) and the main road with shops and restaurants. Small place but perfect for my hubby and I. Host communicated quickly. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the little cabin for the 2 of us. They had everything you needed from pots and pans soap/shampoo . The place is a bit tiny if you have kids but the bed was comfy and just the right size for us !

Easy check-in and hosts were proactive in communication. Really liked the added recommendations for local attractions, food, and nature things. We stopped at the Tahoe House Bakery on our way out after seeing it on their list and it did not disappoint. Close to Palisades and Homewood where we both were able to snowboard. The place was very clean, a positive for a place that is dog-friendly! We did not get a chance to walk around the neighborhood due to having a toddler and no stroller, but it was so close to the lake and downtown shops of Tahoe City -- would be a nice benefit for those who are interested! We will definitely be back.

My husband and son stayed for a week-long ski trip and found it to be perfect for their needs. It is small but cozy, very conveniently located, and the town is adorable. We definitely recommend.

This is a great place to stay and we enjoyed it very much. It is a small one bedroom with adequate kitchen space, no view and no fireplace. Dogs allowed is a plus for us. The bungalow provided everything we needed except wine glasses. We spent most of our time outdoors, adventures and Tahoe City restaurants. We were able to bring food back home and make breakfast before heading out the next day to play.

2nd time staying here. Enjoyed it again.

The bungalow was adorable, clean, close to restaurants and shopping (we were able to walk) and an overall wonderful spot for a weekend get-away. Sadly the oven was broken; however the handyman arrived promptly and an offer for a restaurant meal reimbursement (since we could not cook as planned) was offered. A great place and great management for this Air B and B. Would come again!

A great little place to stay with our dog, very quiet, yet very close to all of the amenities. Walking distance to Safeway and Boatworks Mall with lots of shopping and restaurants. Super comfortable.

The bungalow is a great spot for a couple. Anything more than that might be cramped. Parking: You get the left side of the driveway and can fit 2 vehicles. You cant park on the street. The street to get there is at a good incline, so if there is significant snow, have chains or really good snow tires/4WD or you are going to slide. Bathroom: Tiny but cute. Only one at a time for sure. Shower curtain did not keep the water in the shower even with head pointed away. Had to use towels on the floor to mop up. Kitchen: Has most everything you need except spices/oil etc. There are some items left over by other guests, but make sure you bring salt/pepper/sugar. Was missing a few glasses, so if there are more than 2 people, plan accordingly. Bed: comfortable and slept 2 people. There is also an inflatable mattress I saw with sheets for it. Comfort: couch is comfy & temp is easy to control. Other: Internet was spotty and kept going out The town is great and I would stay here again.

Beautiful place in a great location and was spotless upon arrival. They even turned all this lights on and heated the place up for us. Overall lovely place except the door locks automatically and we accidentally locked ourselves out.

Was great! Bedroom was kinda loud because it shares a wall with the kitchen of the unit next door. But unless you are next to a family with two toddlers like me that shouldn't be an issue lol

Perfect little space for a couple + your dog, or like me, a solo traveler and my pup! I loved the space! It is a little dark, so I left the front door open a lot to get more light during the day. But besides that it was really lovely. Loved having a kitchen to cook! I had to get creative with some things in the kitchen, because it did seem like its just a bunch of random utensils that they put in there, but it worked! (Do make sure to bring some ziplock bags or Tupperware for leftovers). Also, there were no toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, so bring your own! Luckily I did, so wasn't really an issue, just something I noticed! I loved the neighborhood, just far enough away from town to get the silence and mountainy vibe. Just up the street is a trailhead that goes on for like 23 miles?! was really fun wandering around up there, and walking down to the beach every day was really enjoyable. Lots of great restaurants and shops near by! I was also stoked to see there was a Dark Horse Coffee right down the street too! (really yum coffee). Anyway, I would totally come back and stay here again. Definetly my favorite town I've stayed in around Tahoe so far!

Awesome stay at this property, had a awesome vibe when you walk in and and it only a 10 minute walk to the lake. Great Local restaurants and bars just down the street ,will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

The Pioneer Bungalow is exactly as advertised. It was perfect for two of us - I think any more than two adults and you'd be pretty squeezed for space. The bungalow is super convenient to Tahoe City - easily walk into town and to the water. The bungalow is attached to a larger house, so if people are staying there, you will be in close quarters of each other. We had no issues with noise, though, and our neighbors were perfectly friendly :) I would stay there again.

I booked this place last minute after the place I had booked via a different app told me my friends could not have their tiny dog at the cabin. They replied fast even in a holiday weekend and when we arrived the place was ready, and clean. We had a relaxing time and the little cabin was perfect. walked to the beach and restaurants but most importantly the communication and description for the place and rules were clear and accurate. Definitely coming back!

This is a cute little place that is walking distance to downtown, the dog park and trails. The neighborhood is full of dogs, all off leash and friendly, luckily my puppy was in heaven. Downside if the unit that shares a wall with the cabin, which is the bedroom is occupied then you can hear the neighbors.

Nice, quiet, clean, in walking distance from local shops and restaurants. Will be back!

Excellent location - very quiet but walkable to everything. The bathroom and kitchen are quite small but it worked great for us (two adults and two large dogs)

The location in relation to Tahoe city is excellent. The surrounding area and neighborhood is beautiful. The bathroom is a little small as is the kitchen but it does the job. One thing would be nice is if the TV had a satellite or cable hook up and wasn’t just a streaming device

That's a cozy and nice bungalow. It's a great place for couples. However we travelled with a toddler and the cabin was not great for it. There is no door between living room and bedroom. That's a problem for naps and for bedtime. We mitigated it by using blackout curtains that we always carry when travelling. Unfortunately, the curtain prevented heated air flowing to the bedroom because heater is located in the living room only. The bungalow is convintly located close to Tahoe City downtown. It's in a walking distance from lots of restaurants and Tahoe lake shore

Excellent location and easy walk to Tahoe city! Recommend this space if you’re looking for a good central location in Tahoe and planning to spend most of your time out and about. The general living space is a little small for hanging out.
