Talmage Vacation Home

Arrived at 7pm the night before Thanksgiving. Had an issue with the wifi, and didn't expect anyone to respond until Friday after thanksgiving. The host responded within 30mins and got it all straightened out. That really made me feel like they were responsive and didn't leave me hanging.

Very spacious and beautiful home. Beautiful property with nice balcony/deck.

Our family has deep roots in the north Tahoe area and we were thrilled to spend time in the area. The deck was great and having the forest right behind the house was wonderful for both adults and kids. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen had most everything you need to cook full meals, which we did every night. The host company was very responsive to any and all our questions and we will definitely be back again.

They were very responsive and professional. Would definitely use them again. We had a nice time. Thank you!

Good house and location. The house is outdated and but still a nice stay.

The house was big and the location was wonerful. The back of the house opens up to the perfect wilderness that you can hike and my dog can run around in. The house has sufficient amenities for a reasonably comfortable ski weekend. However the house is an older property. Overall the staying experience was satisfactory.

Older home, reminded me of staying at a grandparents house, family photos and collections all still in tact. Great location, quiet neighborhood, hot tub was a great touch. Big deck with plenty of seating.

We had a great stay! Awesome location close to a dog friendly beach. Very clean and comfortable! Super quick communication too!

I came with a group of friends at the end of August for a summer trip and we really enjoyed our stay. Great proximity to beaches, stores, and restaurants and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with a really pretty yard.

The house was in a great location and was the perfect size for our family! We loved spending time in the spa, it was clean and was a good size! The beds were not the greatest but comfortable enough.

We loved our stay here!! We were hoping for some nicer weather so we could spend time by the lake, but we still had a great time despite the summer cold front. Great location close to cute shops, food, and hikes on top of the comfy living room and relaxing hot tub. Would definitely stay again!

Loved the house! My favorite parts were the location and the hot tub. It was about a mile from the lake and some good restaurants. The garbage was full when we got there, I let the host know and they answered within a couple minutes and had someone clear it up for us! Was a very cozy cabin-like place in the middle of beautiful green pine trees. This place made my family vacation so peaceful and relaxing! My only issue was the water pressure on the top floor and two of the bedrooms were pretty tight. But overall, I totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Lake Tahoe, it was well worth the price :)

We really enjoyed our stay! All the beds were really comfortable and the decorations made it really homie!

All good though I would say the second two bedrooms are more ideally set up for kids rather than adults. I have a home across the street and I rented this place for overflow sleeping for 4 guys in their early 60s. Everything else about the place is great. Really nice deck.

Great location with a quiet neighborhood. Great communication with manager of property. Ample amount of space. Hot tub was clean and the views off the deck into the woods was beautiful. House could use some updating, especially the kitchen.

The place was great and very private, with the back side up against the open woods (a great view from the spa!) The key pickup location was only a few minute drive away and the process of checking in was very easy and convenient.

The hot tub rules were somewhat strict but you’re surrounded by nature all day so that way makes up for it.

The home was very roomy and the bathrooms were obviously remodeled recently and were clean and comfortable. The remainder of the house felt very cluttered with travel tokens of the past. The house was dusty and the carpets were dirty. The kitchen sink/desposer/sponge were smelly. Kitchen cluuter galore to the point of almost being unusable. Nice hot tub, but had to be filled somewhat. Kitchen overall needs redo. The location to lake and National Forest was fabulous!!

Great trip and exactly what we expected from the listing. Property management provided all the necessary logistics details. We enjoyed using the grill and hot tub!

The location was perfect, and the deck was a relaxing place to sit out after a busy day of exploring. The home itself is a bit rough around the edges, the kitchen very unorganized and furniture tattered but for the value, we were happy with the home. Close to trails and the water it was a cozy place to head back to and cook dinner and drinks on the patio. Really nice people in the neighborhood as well.

Cozy house with plenty of room to accommodate a large group. Community facilities are NOT available to guests due to COVID (pool, tennis, volleyball, etc.). Hot tub is available and a wonderful touch! I recommend bringing your own towels and bathroom supplies (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.). Photos are slightly misleading and it's a bit more outdated than it appears, but overall had a nice stay.

We stayed for 3 nights with another couple. The location is wonderful, very quiet and the house backs up to a beautiful forest. The house is dated but clean and spacious and the hot tub was awesome. Close to tons of activities. We had an issue with the WiFi that was never resolved but not a huge issue for us. Overall, it was a great vacation. We would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a lovely, secluded home above Carnelian Bay. We loved how it opened onto the woods at the back for a real feeling of privacy and retreat. Great to find a place with two king beds (upstairs master and downstairs guest). Hot tub and grill on the deck were perfect. Definitely recommend this home for a quiet getaway.

This house is exactly how we like Lake Tahoe. Quiet, enjoyable and windows that look into beautiful blue skies or snowy skies, like while we were there. A large dinning table is perfect for seating lots of people for dinner or to make puzzles. There are plenty of card games and board games for all to enjoy. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace with blower kept the house toasty during the snow, (in May, no less) We loved it! It was as described and then some. Would love to visit again.

Great place to stay. Jacuzzi is so comforting at night. Nice big couches and the beds are comfy too!

Beautiful home with a decent sized driveway and nice area under the deck to wash your equipment. Furnishing in the home are a bit outdated but nice nonetheless.

Great house that we will definitely stay in again. We met the owners son who was staying there before us and gave me a bit of history on the house that made me love it even more.

A great, quiet location in a beautiful area not far (but still driving distance) from Tahoe Vista, Kings Beach, and Tahoe City. There a nice trail behind the house, accessible from the next block over, that is a 20-25ish min walk to Patton Beach and surrounding restaurants and businesses. The house itself is a little outdated, some of the furniture is pretty old and even falling apart, but a great value for the amount of people it can host. Overall square footage kind of small for number of people, but it was amazing to have 3 full bathrooms. The hot tub was a nice feature. Kitchen is small but equipped with updated appliances and adequate pots/pans. Bring your own oil/spices/etc. The realty company managing this property was accommodating to move us to this location when the hot tub at our original rental became out of order only days before arrival. However, they can be very difficult to reach by email or phone. Overall, would recommend this property if looking for a quiet location to relax while visiting beautiful Lake Tahoe, especially with a bigger group on a budget.

Loved the place and so did everyone that cane with us. My only complaint is the master bedroom did not heat up at all. other than that it was great.

The dog friendly cabin has a homey feel. The kitchen is well equipped. We saved a lot by cooking in the cabin. The master bedroom is spacious. The other three rooms are small but sufficient. We enjoy the nice hot tub on the deck. It is a short drive or a walking distance to a dog friendly beach. I imagine it is a very good place to rent in winter as well. There are plenty of space and hooks for skis and other things in the front entrance.

I have been coming up to Lake Tahoe since the 70s, and although a lot has changed on and around the lake, it is so refreshing to know that there are still places where you can relax and feel at home while exploring everything Tahoe has to offer. This is not your typical renter's cabin. Minutes away from almost everything we need or want to do, this comfortable 4 bedroom cabin continues to be our favorite vacation spot. With easy access to a pool, tennis courts and the lake there is so much to do within walking distance. Not to mention the miles of forest and trees right out the back door waiting to be explored. Whether it's winding down in the hot tub after a long day or simply sitting out on the deck smelling the fresh pines, you wont be disappointed here. My kids are already talking about coming back next year.

This is an awesome place that I have ever seen. It was very comfortable with everything that you need. You should go there if you want to go Tahoe.

I come with my cross country team every year. The kids really enjoy it. They were disappointed that the hot tub did not have water in it. They look forward to the hot tub after their race. Other than that it was great!

The house was as good as we expected it to be. Very comfortable and a great value for a weekend rental.

Went to Tahoe with wife, new baby, parents, siblings and aunt and uncle. Everyone loved the house. nice, but not too nice, felt like old Tahoe in a good way. Reminded us a lot of heading up to the mountains when we were kids. Great Value for the house (3 Bathrooms!!!) would definitely rent this cabin again.

We had a wonderful time in the Talmadge House. Lots of fun for us, 8 in all. We all had enough space. Plenty of dishes and glasses and cooking utensils. We cooked all the time. Great location to the Safeway etc. Lots of snow and great location to many ski resorts. Would love to stay in the same house next season.

Everything in this cabin is really old. Carpet is bad. Bedding, towels and drapes are ancient. I would recommend to the owners not to have personal photos hanging on walls/refrigerator as it makes a guest feel uncomfortable.
